nice atmosphere, smoking allowed. Prices are OK. 1 star because of the waiters. Ive been to this place once with a group of friends and one of my friend paid for me. After we paid the waiter approached me and said "there is one beer left unpaid" I told him that my friend had already paid for me and the waiter just stared at me and said "ok" and left. After that we went out and while we were about to leave the waiter came to me again this time outside the bar and told me that there is still one beer to pay. I told him again that a friend had already paid for me and this time the friend who paid also told him that she paid for me. He looked at both of us with an angry face and left. I find this very rude and unfriendly. It's unfair, being treated like a thief.

Saturday stroll through town on a great summer day. And then sit outside in one of the most beautiful alleys and have a fresh, cool beer in a 0.2l glass. And thanks to the attentive service, the next one will come soon ... Where? In Cologne? No, in the middle of Freiburg in the picturesque Konviktstrasse. It is these places that make Freiburg so unique! Sorry Cologne ;-)

Quaint pub in the most beautiful street in Freiburg. You should definitely make a detour here. Provided you have nothing against cigarette smoke, then this is the right place. Lots of different beers on the bar and always nice people. It's best to come by in time to get a seat! There is also a cool dice game here, just ask at the bar.

If you are a smoker or like smoking bars, Old Simon is the right place. In the Old Simon, all generations feel like they meet and, due to the local conditions, you get to know other people sooner or later. The staff is polite and friendly as long as you treat them with the same respect. The prices are not necessarily cheap for Freiburg, but they are reasonable and appropriate for the location. Conclusion: For many regular guests almost like a living room

The most rustic bar in Freiburg that I know. Cozy, not too big, with good beer and a very friendly young host. The guests are of all ages, first in their early 20s or retirees in their late 60s - everyone feels comfortable and may get into conversation. The relationship between men and women is very balanced and very few are pushy or bitchy. At the weekend, however, you rarely have a table to yourself, it is very crowded and you inevitably sit at a table or next to the bar with other guests and play cards or shut the box with them - this makes the shop even more sociable and likeable.

Relaxed, long-established smoking bar with a clear map and a good team. Beer is too warm.

A rustic meeting place for everyone. Even if it is a smoker's pub I like to come here with my colleagues. No matter which bartender I was allowed to experience here so far, they were efficient through the bank and funny at the same time. Large selection of beer, but also other drinks are available. At the weekend it is always full, but that also makes up the charm: according to the old manner one sits down to strangers, who usually do not stay a long time strange. With different people I came here already in conversation and am always an experience richer home.

What more do you want? The bar is rustic and has simple charm. The bartender was great on it and with his mischievous nature already worth a visit;)

Used to be a good bar but since new crew took over, it is unpleasant to be there since, the Barkeeper complain almost about everything the guests do. Hope for a better team.

Nice pub with a high percentage of regular customers. If you enter the bar as an "outsider", it depends entirely on who is behind the counter, whether you feel well or better go right back. Was already there 4 times on business trips after work and there have already experienced all variants: From the complete ignorance to the rapid integration into the pub life. Would be nice if you could find a uniform line here.

Good place for a beer, close to the centre as well. Fair prices. Inside people are allowed to smoke (as many bar o pubs in Germany are)

Fantastic, smoker friendly, dive bar that caters to the locals. Prices and pours were both generous, although it can get a bit crowded on busier nights. A nice way to spend the night cheaply in the old city.

Friendly pub frequented by locals. In such a cosy place, the vibe of the bar changes dramatically during the week. This places is not for those with sensitive noses as there is a strong smell of smoke in the bar with a lack of ventilation. Bar staff are very friendly and outgoing and many have been working for many years.

One of the most beautiful, cosiest and friendliest pubs in Freiburg. Smoking-friendly also. Clean and you can see people from all ages and kinds. The menu is simple, but you'll fall in love with the atmosphere and the serve-with-love beers and drinks.
